Times are tough. Motherhood is tough. Whether the current economic and social climate has affected your job situation, or you’re in the thick of pregnancy and young motherhood without substantial support, there are times when many of us need a little extra help.
There are several organizations and ministries in the Charleston area that focus on lending a hand to those who need assistance with concrete, physical needs. Below you’ll find community resources that offer diapers and various baby items to help you through this season of motherhood when you need it the most. At the bottom of this page, you’ll also find links to help you locate a food pantry closest to you.

Assistance Programs Around Charleston
Bundles of Joy Diaper Bank
Call ahead or register online for the Diaper Program to receive monthly assistance. This organization has various pickup locations for young families needing help with diapers and wipes, as well as baby clothes, formula, baby food, and larger items as available.
For expectant mothers (close to their due date), they host drive-through baby showers where pregnant mothers can receive various supplies needed in the upcoming newborn stage.
Lowcountry Blessing Box
For assistance with food, toiletries, baby items, and more — items vary based on donations specific to each box. Take what you need any time of day. Find a location nearest to you here.
WIC
