My 3 Favorite Recipes for Fall Cocktails

0

With the holidays coming up, I wanted to embrace the delicious fall flavors — from pumpkin to apple cider and beyond — with some different recipes to try. What better way to do so than to test out some fall cocktails? Check out all these fall favorites!

3 Favorite Fall Cocktails

1. Pumpkin Espresso Martini

I admit, espresso martinis are one of my all-time favorite drinks. Every year I count down the days until Starbucks brings back the pumpkin cream cold brew. So when I stumbled upon this pumpkin spice espresso martini recipe, I knew I needed to try it out! It was a tad light on the pumpkin for me, so next time I will add a bit more pumpkin pie spice!

Ingredients and finished product for Fall cocktails

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons of pumpkin puree
  • ⅛ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1.5 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1.5-ounce espresso or instant coffee
  • 1.5-ounce creamer of choice (I used heavy cream)

Directions

Fill your shaker full of ice, and add all the ingredients. Remember to add your espresso or instant coffee last so it doesn’t melt the ice! Give your shaker a good shake for 30-60 seconds and pour it into a glass. Enjoy!

To make this a mocktail: add an ounce of vanilla extract instead of coffee liqueur, and skip the vodka! It will be delicious!

2. Apple Cider Margarita

I am a regular margarita gal, BUT if you enjoy fall flavors and margs — this one is for you! I think next time, I would throw a lime in for garnish to give this more of a margarita feel!

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • 2 ounces cranberry juice
  • Honey + brown sugar for the rim

Directions

You’re going to need that shaker again for this one! Fill it up with ice and pour in the tequila/juices. Shake vigorously! Grab your glass of choice and line the rim with honey. Dip it into brown sugar and then pour your shaken drink into it. This is one of my favorites! Add an apple garnish if you so desire!

3. Fire Orange Cider Jell-O Shots

This Jell-O shot recipe is SO good! My neighborhood does it BIG on Halloween, so we also have to have treats for the adults each year. This year I wanted to try out some unique Jell-O shots and landed on these. Y’all, they were a HIT! They would be so fun to have for a Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving (if your family is like mine)!

Ingredients

  • 6-ounce package of orange Jell-O
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup boiling apple cider
  • 10 ounces chilled Fireball Whiskey
  • 6 ounces cold apple cider
  • 2-ounce plastic containers with lids

Directions

This recipe will yield 24-26 Jell-O shots! Start by boiling your water and apple cider. Once boiling, add in your package of Jell-O. Stir until it is fully dissolved (around two minutes). Remove from heat; add in Fireball and chilled apple cider. From there, pour them into your plastic containers. Add the lids, and throw them in the fridge for at least four hours.

Pro tip (that I forgot): Flip the containers upside down to set. That way the shots are much easier to get out!
