Your Favorite Dips Go Vegan for Game Day!

Whether you’re excited about the big game, or just watching for the commercials, we all know the real star of the show is the snacks. With a lot more people going vegan, I thought I would try to make some of the best dips plant-based this year!

Vegan Dips to Try For Game Day

  • Guacamole

My personal fave, and probably the easiest to make, is guacamole. It’s delicious, needs very little prep, and can be customized to anyone’s taste. I love the recipe from Diana Rambles for chunky guacamole. I like to add a little hot sauce or chopped jalapenos for some extra spice! Try not to eat the whole bowl yourself.

I did eat the whole bowl…
  • Nacho Cheese Dip

After trying some store-bought vegan queso and being very disappointed, I decided to try my hand at making my own. This recipe from Duck Soup Kitchen really surprised me. It’s very good with a lot of kick from the peppers and cayenne powder. Eat it with some chips, or on a plate of vegan nachos!

Even the kids loved this dip!
  • French Onion Dip

Guys, I’m not going to lie, trying to find a good plant-based recipe for this was not easy. My family is very particular about their French onion dip, and my first two attempts were complete flops. I was almost going to give up on finding something when I stumbled across this recipe from Veggies Save The Day. It does take a little longer to prepare, as the cashews in the recipe need to be soaked for at least an hour. After that, everything is just thrown in a blender and mixed until smooth.

  • Spinach and Artichoke Dip

I was a little scared to make this, as a person who usually just buys spinach and artichoke dip from the freezer section. I had no idea how this would turn out, plant-based or not. This recipe from Nora Cooks was very easy to follow and probably ended up being my favorite dip of the day! I didn’t have vegan parmesan but I did add some vegan cheddar shreds and they were delicious.

This was so delicious right out of the oven!

All in all, these dips made a great impression on me and my family! I will definitely be making more plant-based snacks in the future!
