Mom Must-Haves: Beach Essentials

The warm weather is here to stay and that can only mean one thing…lots of beach days ahead! With this in mind, our team of local moms has been trying out new products, buying new things, and taking notes of the items we love the MOST this time of year. So check this list before you head to the beach and thank us later!

Polyester Printed Table Cover-Sun Squad

Contributor Megan says about these table covers, “I know it’s not fancy, but I love taking these inexpensive table covers to set all our things on. They’re easy to shake the sand off of and I can just keep it in the back of my car all summer”.

Bare Republic Mineral Sunscreen and Sunblock Neon Stick with Zinc Oxide

Another thing contributor Megan is loving is these colored sunscreen sticks! Her kids think they’re fun and won’t argue to put sunscreen on their faces if she has them.

Burt’s Bees Baby Dusting Powder

Elizabeth from our team has only recently discovered this but now can’t be without it! She loves to use this powder on beach days to get the sand off before getting in the car. Genius!

Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen Stick SPF 50

Marketing Manager Julia says, “I do too much research on sunscreen and have found the Neutrogena Baby Face Stick and Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen (it goes on thick) are great “affordable” options. They are free from a lot of the nasty chemicals and hormone disrupters I try to steer clear of lathering it on the boys 24/7- while actually working!”

Intex Sunset Glow Baby Pool

Marketing Manager Julia also shares why she and her family love this blow-up pool. “On days we spend the whole day at the beach, we love having this baby pool It is super convenient and easy to set up/take down. The pool is big enough to fit 2-3 toddlers or a few babies. Even big kids like to play in it! It keeps them entertained so the parents can actually sit and relax for a few minutes! We’ve been doing it for three years now and so happy we do! It’s small enough to blow up and throw in the trunk before you get there.”

Multifun UPF 50+ Easy Pop Up Beach Tent

Another fun recommendation from Julia is the pop-up beach tent! Julia says, “We LOVE this. It’s even big enough if an adult needs a nice break from the sun they can fit in it! It’s the easiest pop-up tent we’ve ever had and comes with little steaks to push into the sand. It’s nice for at home, too!”

DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Fan

Contributor Brandy says “We love this fan for keeping babies cool! You’ll need a battery, so it’s great if you have other Dewalt tools!” Who couldn’t use an extra fan during the hot Lowcountry days?!

Coleman Swingwall Instant Canopy

Contributor Holly says “This tent is a lifesaver for long beach days. Keeps us out of the sun and the additional sidewall can help block unwanted wind, sand, or sun as it rises or sets. Set-up/take-down can be done by one person but with two adults it’s a breeze.”
