Next up, Wescott Park Playground in North Charleston!
The weather is warming up and the kids are ready to get outside. One of our favorite local spots as North Charleston residents is Wescott Park!
With two playgrounds to choose from, there is plenty of space to get those cooped-up jitters out!
The playground resembling a ball and mitt is enclosed and has soft rubber flooring for those busy little bodies to play on. It includes two slides, a tire swing, and a Tic-Tac-Toe board. A short drive on the opposite side of the entrance brings you to another enclosed playground with more slides, swings, and plenty of space to climb and play.
Not only does Wescott have space for your kiddos to play but bring your dogs and enjoy the enclosed dog park for both large and small breeds. They need to enjoy some play time too!
Needing some momma self-care or get a good workout in? Gear up for the many nature walking trails amongst the park wetlands and enjoy a five-station adult fitness area to work up a sweat.
The many pathways in the park are perfect for an early evening walk with the entire family.
The park is at its peak during the hustle and bustle of ball season and includes an enclosed shelter, outdoor shelters, ball fields, a concessions stand during ball games, a sand volleyball court, batting cages, and a Ripken Training Facility. They also offer many seasonal recreational sports leagues for kids to sign up for.
There are plenty of parking spaces on both sides of the park. Wescott Park makes for a great day, with fun to be had by all!
