When you first find out you’re pregnant, there are so many ‘to-do’s’ running through your head. Perhaps one of the most important decisions you will make is where you will bring your baby into the world. East Cooper Medical Center is one of South Carolina’s leaders in healthcare and more and more moms are choosing to deliver their babies at East Cooper.

Conveniently located in central Mount Pleasant, East Cooper provides expecting parents with educational classes to help them feel ready for baby’s arrival. Whether you are brushing up on newborn basics or learning how to put on a diaper for the first time, their classes and patient instructors will help you as you prepare.

You can also rest easy knowing your baby is in the utmost care since they have a Level II nursery on site. In fact, East Cooper is the only hospital in Mount Pleasant with a Level II nursery!

Don’t just take our word for it! We interviewed four local moms who have delivered at East Cooper Medical Center, and we invite you to listen to their stories and hear for yourself about their experience delivering at East Cooper.

Katie Finch
Katie Finch is an Alabama native who spent the past nine years living in sunny Jupiter, Florida where she co-owned three Uptown Art (think wine and painting) studios with her sister for seven years. She graduated from Auburn with a degree in Marketing, so her role was all things marketing, cross promotion, advertising, social media, and event planning. After selling the studios, she and her husband relocated to the Charleston area with their two children (David who is 3 1/2 and Selwin Mae who is 1 1/2) in April, and she can honestly say they are loving every day here! They love the Southern hospitality, scrumptious food, and exploring this great city. In her free time Katie enjoy walking, listening to worship music, a (stereotypical) bubble bath, and watching the Bachelor. She also loves a strong cup of coffee, anything with chocolate, and a well-rounded glass of Pinot Noir.
